Microlots do not contribute as much to our impact goals. Our goal is to roast specialty coffee at higher volumes in the country of origin so that seriously more money is left there, valuable jobs are created that create a proud future for the youth without development aid. Microlots also do not contribute that much to our livable income goal for farmers below the poverty line. That’s what our FairChainFarming program is for, and 99% of our energy goes there.
However, the FairChain movement is also a quality revolution. For too long, BigCoffee treats us like idiots who have to be satisfied with a bitter, burnt-through taste based on sourcing the cheapest beans possible.
